Before you email

Include enough detail for support to understand the exact run and the exact screen.

  • Machine: your Mac model and macOS version.
  • App build: the version and build number shown in Settings.
  • Cleanup mode: Archive, Move to Trash, or Hardlink Dedupe.
  • Problem track: the duplicate group or track name that looks wrong.
  • Evidence: screenshots of the screen you were on when the problem appeared.
Restore cases

Do not repair it blind.

The safer path is to stop and report the exact state before you reorganize the archive, empty the Trash, or run another cleanup pass on the same group.

If you need a restore

Tell support what happened to the run before you try to fix it by hand.

  • History: say whether the cleanup run appears in History.
  • Restore state: note whether the run is marked restorable, rolled back, or completed with no rollback.
  • Archive: if files were archived, do not reorganize that archive yet.
  • Trash: if files were moved to Trash, say whether the Trash has already been emptied.
